Congratulations to Scott Thulborn - BSA State Singles Champion

On Monday 30 January 2012 Scott Thulborn added another state championship to his already impressive record in state events. Scott is now the current holder of the State Open Singles Championship, the State Pairs with his close friend Adam Forbes, the State Triples crown with his father Dave Thulborn and Brett Davis and now the State Singles Championship.  No other bowler has ever held all four state crowns at the same time. A feat that is unlikely to be ever repeated. Well done Scotty T.

Congratulations also to Katrina Miller who made it through to the last 16 in the State Womens Singles championship and to Brett Davis who made it through to the Semi Finals only to be pipped at the post losing his game 24- 25.

The club congratulates all players that have entered the state events and performed well against the best bowlers in the state.

Adelaide Masters

The 2012 Adelaide Masters is now locked in with sponsorship again from BCiB and a new sponsor for this year Connor Holmes. The event will be played over Easter 6 - 9 April 2012 and again we ask members to make themselves available to assist in marking and general volunteering around the club. A working bee will be organised to get the club ready for this yearly event which is growing in status again around the country. We have already received 6 interstate entries with lots more to come. Scott Thulbormn is the reigning Masters Champion and will be hard to beat in his current form. It is shaping up to be a big tournament this year and will be worth watching. Tournament Director is Bruce Wallace and we ask members to approach Bruce to assist him between now and the end of the torunament to ensure we continue with the success of running the best singles club championship around.

Club Tournaments

All participants are reminded to play all games by the due date. It is the responsibility of the first named player to contact their opponent to arrange the game by the due date.
